Never send a man to the store

because … he will come back with the wrong things!

Yesterday, sent my hubby to the grocer and he came back with crabs and some funny beans for me!

OMG! I asked for Haricot Dragons and Crab Meat Stix … and he brought me those =S

Now I wonder what I should do with those crabs. Never handled them and I guess prolly gonna make ketchup garlic crabs - is that what you call it? BUT HOW TO MAKE THAT? Should I first boil the crabs .. hmmmm but they are DEAD. FROZEN. Will that kill the taste? Can’t be bothered with freshness anymore - it’s frozen food anyway. What more can I expect?

Well, I was gonna impress J, a guy I was casually dating while studying in the US, with my kitchen skills, until he suddenly asked me, “Daphne, why are you crying?” Dang! I didn’t realize I was actually tearing, kept wiping off my tears with the sleeves. Then he said, let me take over. So, he took the knife and kept it under running water for a while, then begun cutting. WOW! He didn’t tear at all! He told me, to save myself from embarrassment, by having mascara smeared all over my face, it’s best to cut onions and shallots with a wet knife! AND … it really did magic for me!
