Well … what I’m about to blog has nothing to do with the title … so ignore that!

I just learned I shouldn’t call (phone) my ma when she is sleeping. I called home few nights ago thinking the family was awake. But no. Everyone already slept at 1am MY time. I was surprised because they don’t normally go to bed that early *lol* … We’re a bunch of owls back home.

I asked ma if she received an email with a photo attached from aunt in Hong Kong. She answered yeah and mentioned that aunt asked her to guess who the bride is in the photo. She immediately replied “Lang Lang”. I got a shock of my life when I heard that. So, I told her that the bride is “Komsa” aka “Kam Sa” meaning “Golden Sand” in Chinese. You know Hongkies have a way to give funny pet names to people! I bet Lang Lang (pet name also) will be horrified to hear that she’s been mistaken for an Indonesian *muaaaahhhhahahahaha* Ma felt guilty and promised to call aunt last night to clariy that *haha* Well, I think she overreacted a little on this. Poor ma!

Then we went on to talk about the latest maid aunt got because Komsa has left the job to get married to her sweetheart. Komsa is superb! She speaks very fluent Cantonese and makes damn good Canton and Shanghainese dishes. *slurrppppp* So I asked ma who is training the new maid, she immediately replied “FEI MA” … Well, this time I couldn’t resist not laughing anymore because “FEI MA” is the mother of a friend whom we met when we visited Toronto. Dang! Ma can really speak and talk nonsense when she’s got a rude awakening *haha* Well, at least that was what she told me =D

Ma … eventho you had it all wrong - that was a sweet conversation we had =)

Talk soon!
