Since I am feeling better today from the flu, I decided to spring clean my kitchen. So, clearing of any expired food was part of the agenda. I was surprised to find a full bag of expired food. Gee … I haven’t been checking what I have in the cabinets. I just kept replenishing stuff which I already have. And worst of all … ate all the latest ones instead of the older ones. How careless and silly of me! The bag of expired food is sitting diligently in the small hallway waiting to meet Mr Dustbin once my hubby gets home from work. My hubby is going to have a SWEET surprise!

Well, like I mentioned … always check the expiry of the food products you’re buying! Especially those of us who are living abroad and rely heavily on asian stores for our spices and sauces. As I was clearing the chili sauces, I was SHOCKED to see that the Thai Chili sauce which we have been consuming over the past few months was expired in 2005! And the most unacceptable fact was I bought it last year. I’m not blaming the store owner but myself, for that most horrendous fault of mine. I was CARELESS!!! Thank goodness nothing serious happened to any of our health.

Well, yeah you could have guessed … it’s in the bag of expiry food products waiting to be disposed of. Sayonara Thai Chili sauce!
