Cranky Domestic Goddess

I heart it loads. This trip back I have added Sony Ericsson W580i to my collection of mobile phones. Yeah, as usual, dad told me I was crazy! But collecting mobile phones is my hobby. I actually bought two. One for my hubby and one for myself. Hubby got the “urban grey” and I got the “metro pink”.

W580i is not a high tech phone but it’s sleek design sure is ideal for those who refuse to carry a heavy phone with simpler functions. Nope, it doesn’t have the 3G function but it’s got EDGE and GPRS. It runs on 4 networks, namely GSM 850/900/1800/1900. It comes with a 2.0 megapixel in-built camera (without flash) enhanced with 4x digital zoom. I can look forward to putting photos I just took in my blog within seconds. Now, that is neat!!!

What’s more, it’s a Walkman® phone! Sound system is rather good compared to the normal mobile phones. Oh yeah, did I tell ya it comes with “Shake Control”? I no longer have to press those boring buttons to switch to the next song. All I need is to press on the “W” button and lightly shake the phone. I’m on my way to enjoying the next song! This is utterly cool! I can also choose the color of the lights for incoming calls. Well, that is rather useless cuz not that I am gonna memorize all the colors for each caller! It also comes with a matching pink headset and adapter.

Anyway, I got my W580i for a very good deal as I bought it during Chinese New Year and it was newly released then. One Sony Ericsson dealer had it on promotion in conjunction with the festive season. So besides the phone, I also got a Sony Ericsson bluetooth headset and a 1gb M2 memory card for free for each phone.
